Hello, everyone!
Thank you for the generosity of MOJI KOUN KAISHA LTD. and Kanmon Container Terminal Co., Ltd., who always support us in exportation, for giving us the opportunity to tour the terminal together!

Since the report turned out a bit long, I’ll be sharing it in two parts✨

First, we attended a presentation by the Kitakyushu Port Promotion Association in a scenic observation room.
Kitakyushu, located in the southern part of Japan, ranks 7th in handling foreign trade containers among the 60+ container terminals across the country! (As of April 2024)

This time, we visited Tachinoura Port (Moji), the closest port to Honshu among the Kitakyushu ports✨

Tachinoura container terminal

Tachinoura Port has been exporting goods since 1889, and you can really feel its long history.
Through this visit, I learned that the current container terminal owes its existence to the daily efforts and ingenuity of the people involved in trade. I have nothing but admiration for them💦

↑ The catchphrase says, “There’s a sleepless giraffe in Mojiko.”

太刀浦コンテナターミナル 眠らないキリン

It really does look like a giraffe!
We are deeply grateful to everyone working tirelessly, even late at night, to support trade.

Next time, I’ll introduce the highlights of our terminal tour✨
Stay tuned! (^-^)
